I've decided to set the Southridge Alumni domain up to mirror something much more like Classmates.com, but without the fees. The only downside is that it will require all members re-register. To eliminate that downside, I will manually register all current users on southridgealumni.com. You will get an email with your user name and temporary password when the new site goes live.

Because I am not a programmer, I've decided to go with an existing platform. What does that mean? It means you will become a member of a site, probably ning.com (although I haven't decided for sure yet). I will only choose a service that does not release email information and doesn't send out spam (no spam like those almost daily updates from classmates.com and/or reunion.com).

The new site will be more manageable, make it easier to share photos and/or music, and communicate with our fellow alumni - no matter what graduating class.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for all you do Linda.  I'm new to this site, but I've noticed you do a lot to keep this board in tip-top shape.  Looking forward to the new site.

Thanks. :)

I think I may have found some software that will not require anyone join an outside site... more to come.

I finally upgraded the forum software. If you have registered in the last week, you'll have to re-register.

Thanks!
